an adventure through wonderland

The basics are that I am the fourth of five children, two boys and three girls, and we have all been homeschooled K-12. One of my sisters got married last year and my older brother is getting married this year. My dad was in the Air Force so I moved around a lot growing up. My favorite assignment was Japan. We lived there for three years from when I was seven to when I was ten. I hope to go back to Japan someday as a teacher, I love kids and Japan is such an overlooked mission field. That's another thing, I'm a christian, kind of important. Right now I'm facing high school graduation and am planning to go to college and major in elementary education.

Other than the basics, some interesting things about me are I never pass up an opportunity to put on a costume or make a fool of myself. I love going to Scarborough Faire. I love cats. I am in need of more bookshelves to accommodate my growing collection because I can't seem to help myself when I see a book. People are always shushing me because I have a natural stage voice and am very loud and I get louder the more excited I get. Due to my natural stage voice and love of costumes theater is among my interests. I don't know how good I am, but I enjoy it. I love Alice in Wonderland and collect copies of it, I have a whole shelf full and includes a pop-up, several different illustrated versions (including Hildebrandt), and a vintage copy from the '20s. I like bright colors. I am easily distracted by shiny objects, even though I'm not into 'bling'. If I could dress in any style (minus fantasy/fictional) I would dress in '40s/'50s classics. I occasionally make simple beaded jewelry. I love buttons. I love paper lanterns and parasols. I also love procrastinating which is why I'm going to stop writing about myself and go write about a poem for English class.
